What kind of colours can be printed?

The printer utilizes four drop-on-demand print-heads using CMYK coloured ink. CMYK colours can provide a broad colour gamut satisfying most colour requirements

What is the Print Resolution?

Depending on your image we can print at 185 x 185 dpi, 370 x 370 dpi or 370 x 600 dpi. Most images are printed at 370 x 600 dpi. 
 

What image formats are accepted?

We process our images from .tif files but we can accept any image, graphic raster of vector. AI, EPS, TIF, PNG, JPG and BMP.

Can I print Text?

Absolutely! By using the WallPen® you save yourself the time and headache weeding small intricate vinyl text.

What kind of surfaces can be printed on?

Thanks to the plastic-like UV cured ink, we can print on nearly any substrate. We have examples on plaster, wallpaper, wood, brick, paint, stone, plastic, glass, most tiles and many more

What kind of ink is used?

Specially formulated, plastic-like, low-odor WallPen® UV ink made in the EU. There is no odor or VOC emitted from this ink making it suitable to print in all environments

Is the printed image durable?

The ink is UV resistant maintaining colour fastness for 3 - 6+ years outdoor and 12+ years indoor. For extreme environments, a clear coat can be applied to improve resilience.

How long does it take to print?

From 0.8 m. sq  to 4 m. sq per hour (8.6 ft 2 - 43 ft2/hr) according to selected quality and resolution.

Is there set-up involved?

Most jobs can be set up in ~30 minutes, and once complete the printer is packed away in 15 minutes

How do I remove my print?

Depending on the substrate there are different methods of removal 

  • On a painted surface two coats of paint and it’s gone! 
  • On glass with a ceramic a field scraper or a razor blade can be used 
  • Wood can be painted or sanded 
  • Metal or concrete best to work with sand or glass bead blasting technology
